5. What is pre-anesthetic blood screening?
This is a series of blood tests that can be run prior to surgery. The pre-anesthetic blood screening is done to discover any pre-existing problems that could affect safety during surgery or the ability to heal following surgery. It is recommended that these tests be done at least a few days before the scheduled procedure. Your veterinarian can perform these and fax us the results. If that is not possible or is inconvenient, then we can perform them here.
